i’ve been getting a few questions regarding my larry timeline and opinion, so i’ve decided to make it into a thread. this is just my opinion and theory! read on :)
i’m gonna try to make this thread somewhat short so there isn’t too much reading. basically, I think that in the ot5 days H had a crush on L.
I think that L liked it and enjoyed H’s company. I think he felt SOMETHING, but I don’t think he was ready to be in a committed relationship with a boy. He was young and inexperienced, we can’t blame him for that.
Between the contracts and him being forced into a “relationship” with El, he felt it easier to just deny the rumors and let go of whatever H and him had. I think that really broke H (as we saw in frat boy era and with the unreleased songs H wrote during that time).
When L and El “broke up”, I think L realized he wants to be with H and they decided to try again.
“you said that you’d give me another chance, but you and I knew the truth of it in advance, mentally, you were already out the door”. H had been so heartbroken the first time he wasn’t sure if he could go through it again.
I think that at the end of 2015 and their final tour, they decided to part ways and give themselves both time to grow (hence why the final hug that we all have seen was so passionate. they were soulmates saying goodbye).
H wrote sweet creature (and arguably a few others on the album) about L “we don’t know where we going but we know where we belong.. you bring me home”..
after this, in 2017 H and L met up again. “it’s been two years since i’ve seen your face, tryna find some better words to say”.
They have obviously grown up in this time, but L was still under his contract, so they couldn’t be open together “I know you’re scared because i’m so open”.
L wrote a large majority of Walls for and about H, most noticeably Always You, Too Young and Habit
“i’m wasting my time when it was always you” “we were too young to know we had everything, too young, i wish I could’ve seen it all along” “come so far from princess park” among many other lyrics.
After listening to the album, H and L grew closer. (this part is just my opinion) but Liam mentioned in his live this week that the boys have been much closer recently than ever.
maybe this is due to the fact that H and L finally decided they are ready to be together, to work on their relationship together
I whole heartedly believe they are together, or are finding their way back, but I think they need time to figure it out with each other before they are ready to announce it to the world.
