Before you defend Krystal& #39;s letter, think about this... Imagine you work for a company; it& #39;s struggling a bit, losing revenue. The last financial year showed a decline in revenue & profit. Boss comes in one day & says "I& #39;m gonna hang it up; I& #39;m going to resign".
A few weeks later, he& #39;s still there. Obviously some changes are coming. But not fast enough for you... So. You, one of the staff members who contributed to the overall loss & even recently failed to close a major deal, go into your office, put pen to paper & this is what you say.
Thanks for being a good boss, we appreciate your service.. but I, a recent failure, with hardly any track record, think I know what& #39;s best for the company. So I& #39;m telling you how soon you need to get gone & advising you on who to appoint to some key positions before you head out.
Not even a private convo. A letter. That goes public. What precisely, for good or ill, do you think your boss& #39; reaction would be? Can you honestly say that it doesn& #39;t reek of disrespect & insubordination? How much dignity & repute could your boss retain if he let that fly?
If you were the boss of that entity, one that you& #39;d provided decades of commitment to, done an exemplary job in many respects, made sacrifices for, what would your reaction be? Honestly.
