My book on millennial burnout comes out next week and please forgive this thread of promotion to try and convince you to pull the trigger on that pre-order (which, as every author will tell you, really does matter)

Here is the cover, which I love very much
My Mom says it is good! She read the whole thing to help me get rid of em dashes. I think my mom is pretty trustable but you can also trust Time Magazine: https://time.com/5885088/best-books-fall-2020/
It's also one of Amazon's Ten Picks for September; I have ZERO business hanging out there next to Ferrante:

https://www.amazon.com/b/?node=17143709011
The esteemable @tressiemcphd called it "the Nickel and Dimed of this generation"; @ezraklein says it's "essential to understanding our age, and ourselves"; @edyong209 said reading it "felt like a field guide, a mirror, and an absolution"

My mom said "this is great, Doot"
(I am "Doot")
Some ppl have told me they fear they're too burnt out to read this book and wow do I get it. But this book is here for you to slowly digest, dipping into chapters. There's also a ton in there about millennial parents; you and your parent could have a v good book club
An author appreciates any purchase of their book but you know how they'll be able write more books in the future? These damn pre-order numbers.

It's weird but it's something you can do, whether for my book or the books of other authors whose work you want to continue to see
