Can somebody teach Twitter that if you're going to bring serious allegations against someone, you're going to need more than hearsay and out-of-context screenshots? I can't go ONE. DAY. without hearing someone's being accused of being a pedophile with little or no evidence.
I find it really sad that it's often people calling someone else a groomer, but don't understand what "groomer" means. No, there's no "emotional grooming." That's just called "manipulation." Grooming is the manipulation of a minor for sexual gains, quit the fucking buzzwords.
When you accuse someone of something that's a highly serious crime, you need CONTEXT and EVIDENCE. He-said-she-said is just hearsay, and it doesn't count as either. A screenshot of a partial conversation isn't enough. You need more of the story, or it doesn't count as either.
This platform keeps getting more awful to watch and I'm seriously considering making somewhere else my primary platform for art. Everywhere I look there's fiction police or political extremists glorifying murder, and it's testing the limits of both human stupidity and my sanity.
If I do end up making somewhere else my primary art platform, I'll of course state where and give a link in a post. I'll still post here at that point, but it'll be less frequently and may not be as complete as elsewhere.
And for those partaking in such heinous acts of cancellation and mob shaming, stop making real victims of actual violence and abuse into a fucking joke. Each and every out-of-context screenshot or TwitLonger you post bastardizes what you claim to stand for.
I have a Pillowfort which I will link in my profile. Later I'll make an info sheet including other sites I'm on if you wish to follow me there as well. Thank you all for putting up with this thread, and have a good rest of your day.
