So yeah. Thoughts on BNA. Might be spoilery but I& #39;ll try to keep that at a minimum
I was already planning on watching this before several people (yes, that includes you Thymos and Kovu) recommended it to me. The animation looked cool and I had heard good things bout the show

I watched the first four episodes over the course of two nights, then ended up putting it down for a couple weeks because I got busy with stuff, before picking it up against last night and just now finishing it. I have to admit after the first couple episodes, I was not impressed
Sure the animation and music was great, but the story initially seemed to just be another generic "hey racism is bad" thing. And I was also turned off a bit by characters just getting random powers when it seemed convenient.
Continuing into the middle of the season, the pacing just felt really off to me. Like I can& #39;t explain it but it just felt really slow at times and then short bursts of quick pacing. And the last few episodes (which were my favorite) felt really fast.
There were several "twists" that were definitely obvious. The two or three times I was completely blindsided by something happening were done well, but they were usually accompanied by the same feeling of random shit being pulled out of nowhere which still didnt sit with me right
The characters are probably what I care most about in a show and I really liked them in this show, even though they pissed me off several times. There were many times where I paused the show just to say "omfg Michiru, stop and think for a moment and stop being so damn gullible"
I really like Shirou as a character. Interesting backstory and flawed but by the end you understand why he acts the way he does.

I was hype going into the last few episodes. After the 11th I really liked the change the ending credits. I always watch opening and closing credits and love changes like that. Going I to the last episode I definitely thought "how is all of this going to get resolved in one ep?"
The last episode& #39;s power escalation and random shit being pulled still was kinda eh with me, but I don& #39;t know how they would have done it differently. Still cool though and I like the backstory info. Kinda wish it was done differently but like I said, not sure how.
I know it sounds like I& #39;ve been shitting on this show but I actually do really like it. Not like an all time favorite but still up there. Though the soundtrack is definitely one of my favorites. Probably second only to Angel Beats imo.
So yeah, overall good show. Liked it. Great animation, music, and characters. Pacing felt off and weird at times but that was about it.

Oh and Michiru and Nazuna are definitely in lesbian with each other right? Like there is no way they are just "good friends". They are also way too adorable together.
