i’m so happy with how much progress i’ve made with learning asl... i honestly didn’t think i would be able to bc of how bad my arthritis is but i’ve picked it up so quickly

it’s just like... going to a school that holds the largest national deaf technical institute and having asl interpreters in all my classes and then having a deaf coworker who i rly wanted to communicate with more effectively has rly made me so motivated

(i also don’t want that to seem like i’m trying to be some sort of Savior i just really think sign languages should be taught as part of baseline education and getting to know so many deaf people has reinforced that in me even more)
