one thing i've learned over the last year is that the big stresses of campaign work feels a lot less overwhelming and emotionally draining if i've slept and eaten some healthy food that day.
another thing that helps but is super unpopular in campaign world -- i rarely drink alcohol now -- maybe just a beer with dinner. and honestly it really really really helps
with that being said, the goal of "sustainability" should not just be survival until november 3rd -- it should be about keeping you, YOU, now and after the election.
care enough about this work to take care of yourself. sleep, eat, drink water, cut down on caffeine, and stop glamorizing toxic campaign culture!
