There's a difference between protesting a movie and protesting a streaming service. It's pretty simple:

If you want to protest a movie -- don't watch it. 1/5
Since success is measured by views, this tells the streaming service this isn't the type of content they should be investing in moving forward.

It also tells their algorithm not to push this type of content on to you. 2/5
BUT... if you CANCEL your service over one movie, well, now you aren't just protesting a movie --

You're trying to control what OTHER people can and can't watch. 3/5
And other people might not clutch their pearls over the same content you fear so much.

So, watch what YOU want and let other people watch what THEY want to watch. 4/5
And, believe it or not, some people might want to watch Award-Winning Sundance movies from new female voices who don't deserve to have their voice silenced because you fell down a conspiracy theory rabbit hole. 5/5
