coming from someone who’s been ‘gifted’ since kindergarten.

let’s start with testing.
‘how do you become a gifted kid?’
well, you take a test. usually before 3rd grade. it’s a jumble i don’t remember a thing about it other than some shapes.

pass the test, find a school, boom youre in.
now, from here life seems great! you’ve been told you’re an above average person who’s great at academics. this is great, you get an advantage at life.

here’s where reality kicks in real quick. exhaustion? yeah probably, but deal with it, everyones tired. unorganized? just make a planner with folders, it’s all immediately fixed with folders. mental stress cause you can’t get work done on time and teachers are berating you?

sucks to suck, you get a late pass but they’ll remember this. anything and everything can ruin it. never think you’re out of the woods if you got a project done on time. according to them, you’ve done the bare minimum.
