I went into a religious argument with a friend the other day, and I ended my points with "Don& #39;t forget that the boats/ship& #39;s that brought the bible to Africa also went back with human beings as slaves"..

Baba accused me of blasphemy.

I see a lot of Religious fanatics are triggered by this tweet and I love it, historical records has it that both Islam and Christianity played an important role in enslavement in Africa.
The Arab-controlled Trans-Saharan slave trade helped to institutionalise slave trading on the continent.

And during the & #39;age of expedition& #39;, European Christians witnessed caravans loaded with Africans en-route to the Middle East.
While some clergymen were using Christian scriptures to propagate slavery, others were scouring the Bible to end it.
Although evangelicals tend to receive most of the credit for this, the origins of Christian Abolitionism can be traced to the late 17th Century(the Quakers).
Many early Christian opponents of slavery came from congregations such as Congregationalists, Quakers, Presbyterians, & #39;Methodists& #39; and Baptists, who were called & #39;Nonconformists& #39; or & #39;Dissenters& #39; because they disagreed with the beliefs and practices of the Church of England.
These Christians were often marginalised because of this, but their counter-cultural stance enabled them to make connections with those who faced other forms of persecution.
Anyways let me cut the chase, while you& #39;re here please have it in the back of your mind that the only way to God is through his son Jesus Christ.

Accept him as your Lord and personal saviour because that& #39;s the right thing to do.
Don& #39;t think because of my tweets above that I don& #39;t believe in God/Holy Spirit or take Jesus Christ as my personal lord and saviour oh(e Shock you abi https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤣" title="Lachend auf dem Boden rollen" aria-label="Emoji: Lachend auf dem Boden rollen">).

My believing in the trinity doesn& #39;t stop me from looking back at historical events of my Religion for the culture.
