Matchday musings: #BHACHE
Chelsea started with Havertz on the right & Werner up top. James & Alonso started at FBs as Azpi came on for the last 5 mins.
Reece James really caught the eye from an FPL perspective as he bombed up & down the RW & tormented March for the entire

night. He was on set-piece duties as well inspite of Mount being on the pitch & got himself an assist for Zouma's goal. It was however his thunderbolt in the 2nd half which gave Chelsea the lead & reminded FPL managers of a certain TAA. With a price of 5.0 & Chelsea likely to
tighten up defensively, he is sure to become the best value defender this season if he can make the RB spot his own
Werner had a decent game & earned a penalty in the 1st half when he was played in by Jorginho & brought down by Ryan. Notably, it was Jorginho & not Werner who

took the spot kick quelling speculation about who would be 1st choice. He had a few other decent half chances & had a good low shot saved by Ryan from a very tight angle. In the last 10' of the game he played on the left of a 4-3-3 with Mount through the middle. My understanding
is that it might be because of his fitness & ability to track back better. He provided an update about his small injury too. https://twitter.com/_CFCLiam/status/1305621120662548487?s=19

inevitably Kepa was at guilty for the goal conceded. With Edouard Mendy likely to join soon & Silva & Chilwell likely to come into defence they should improve defensively. Getting a Chelsea defender from GW3 could be an astute move as they face only United (GW6) & Wolves (GW13)
amongst last season's top 6, between GWs 3-16.
Brighton held their own in the game & were slightly unlucky to have lost by a 2 goal margin. They created a good number of chances but failed to put them away.
Tariq Lamptey tortured Alonso the entire night getting past him on

multiple occasions & provided great crosses. He created a big chance for Maupay who couldn't get the timing right for his header. His assist for the goal was a tad lucky as he laid off the ball for Trossard outside the box who made space for himself before shooting but it was no
less than what his performance deserved
Trossard didn't have the best of games but still got himself a goal. Should've had an assist too as he created a huge chance for Dunk at the back post who flunked it
Inspite of conceding 3 goals, Brighton's defence didn't look very

shaky & were undone by a penalty, a thunderbolt & a deflected goal. Between GWs 5-15 they face only Liverpool (GW10) & Leicester (GW12) amongst last season's top 6. Worth monitoring.
