i just realized there's a direct parallel between the way a jahad's princess treated and how bam/viole, as a slayer candidate, was (and is currently) treated + how khun plays into that [thread]
like keeping this thread in mind, i can't help but remember how hwa ryun literally calls viole her god and does everything she can to preserve his path, as well as key members of FUG (way back in early s2) paving the bloody way for him to walk https://twitter.com/JYUVlOLEGRACE/status/1304892890993184770
i think about how there's so much pressure, equivalent to the pressure on a jahad's princess, on bam right now to lead the tower to greatness. there was always that pressure and it's overwhelming.
and yuri's quote on "the people who really know what that pressure is like try to alleviate it" reminds me of how khun sees him as bam first. not viole, not a slayer candidate, just bam. he offers him a space to be himself bc all he wants is to be with bam, genuinely.
and it REALLY makes me realize how important that hug was because khun was literally the only person to check on him. because while everyone else was just celebrating that they won, khun went straight to bam to see how he was feeling. to make sure he was *mentally* fine.
i honestly predict that later in s3 khun will become more and more of someone who will support bam and always put bam before FUG, before being a slayer candidate, and before any and all expectations of him. because those expectations and high standards aren't who bam *is.*
and bam needs that person. he needs, as yuri said, someone who will alleviate that pressure and see him as *him* instead of a title. i really do think khun is gonna be that kind of person for him and i can't wait to see how they become what each other need
