People seem to think that western alienation is a thought, something akin to a fever dream....so let's talk about Canada's national news coverage/conversation from the last 24 hours.

While one national news outlet spent 15 mins of top story time wondering if there were more wasps (no, the insect) in Toronto, out in #BC we're fighting off hundreds of millions of #westernhemlockloopermoths its apocalyptic & there gunning for our trees.

Then there's #wildfire smoke & no, its not just visually a problem & the west coast of the US needs to be worried, its BC's biggest issue today. National media acted like the smoke was a visual distraction not a national health emergency

And then there was #wildfire coverage which seemingly demonstrated a lack of knowledge that #BC #bcpoli leads forest fire management & the US has a bunch of states who ask for our help & then never take our advice -the advice that saved us fr 409 deadly forest fires this yr alone

Climate change is part of equation but each state has more power than Jason Kenney wishes he knew what to do with, & when Govs like @GavinNewsom douse us w pablum while not shouldering the blame for his part in California's fires, I shudder & BC & Alta answer for his mistakes

Are Canada's media aware that #BC #firefighters & #BCgov have repeatedly warned @GavinNewsom that his lack of decision making has only made his climate change woes so much more deadly. Does anyone understand Newsrom has rejected our forestry management?

I'm no apologist for Trump but as @JerryBrownGov has said -and I 100% agree with my ideological opposition, Trump is right, this one is on @GavinNewsom & Canada's media missed the biggest stories today.
