When RODs/DODs talk about staying up late/workin on their day off, they perpetuate a culture of non-stop work. When we don't talk about self-care, it sends a clear signal. We can ask orgs to drink water or eat a vegetable haha. Or we can actively encourage it--lead by example 2/3
Oh, and to those that made the Jewish High Holy days a WOA/blackout days (barring time off), you value the work more than staff. Applies to any religion/life event. Say "we'll gladly grant an exception" all you like--doesn't change the pressure/fear the policy puts on staff. 3/3
