Listen, if you want to abolish the police and force citizens to protect themselves, that's fine, but I don't think you've thought it through.

Right now, if someone attacks you, robs you, breaks into your house, etc., you call the cops to deal with the miscreant, if they can find them.

If cops don't exist and someone breaks into our houses, robs us, or otherwise attacks us, two things are going to happen:

1) Wood chipper sales will skyrocket
2) Gardens will become extra green

Rights of the accused will no longer be a thing. But hey, abolish all the police or something.
