golden - hermione

just like golden is the unspoken hero in fine line, hermione is the unspoken heroine of harry potter. golden’s both cheerier musical tones combined with the more somber lyrics remind me of hermione, who hides her own issues for the well being of the group

watermelon sugar - harry

watermelon sugar gets all the recognition and hype out of the songs in fine line, just like harry does. although arguably not the best song out of fine line, just like harry, who although not the best out of his friends, succeeds with their help.

adore you - dobby

just like the song says, dobby would “walk through fire” for his friends. dobby is one of the kindest most selfless characters, who like adore you is beloved by all, and for good reason!

lights up - neville

lights up is a song about finding out who you are and becoming more confident, which screams neville. through out the harry potter series, neville learns about himself and becomes more confident. by the end of the series, he knows who he is: a hero.

cherry - snape

nothing fits severus snape more accordingly! snape loves lily, harry’s mother, but she falls in love with james instead. snape is quite jealous of james, who bullied him, and i feel like the line “don’t you call him baby” is something snape would relate to.

falling - sirius

falling is one of the saddest songs on fine line, and sirius has one of the most tragic stories in harry potter. after being treated as a criminal for a crime he did not commit, he finally reunites with harry, only to die and leave harry two years later.

to be so lonely - draco

just like in the song draco is often an “arrogant son of a b*tch who can’t admit when he’s sorry.” however, he’s also quite lonely, especially by the sixth book, when he begins to spiral when asked to kill dumbledore.

she - ginny

in “she” the singer refers to a dream girl, that “lives in his head” i feel like it fits ginny because throughout book 6, harry has a crush on ginny, who is rather popular and has many suitors. ginny becomes harry potter’s dream girl in that sense.

sunflower, vol. 6 - fred & george

sunflower is so vibey and fun just like fred and george, who are often the comedic relief and who are always pulling jokes. sunflower has a very lighthearted almost trippy sound that reminded me of the twins’ joke shop and how funky it is.

canyon moon - ron

by far the most underrated song on fine line, just like ron, one of the most underrated characters in harry potter. canyon moon is also about “going home” a feeling which reminds me of ron, who loves his family and home deeply.

treat people with kindness - luna

luna is the human embodiment of tpwk! people often pulled pranks on her throughout the series, but she was never mean to anyone! she always supports her friends and brings positivity. her outfits and clothes feel exactly like the tpwk vibes.

fine line - dumbledore

at once a sad and joyous song, the duality of fine line perfectly encapsulates dumbledore! the line “we’ll be alright” also reminds me of him, because while he’s not perfect, he often embodies hope and always believes in harry throughout the series.
