10. now you might be thinking: user koaamel, why would you put aju nice in your list of the top kpop songs of all time? surely you jest? but genuinely, if svt and carats can jam to this every concert for 30 minutes straight then it deserves its spot here.

9. taemin has this incredible way of moving (no pun intended) that just blows everyone else out of the water. move really showcases that, the subtle yet powerful choreography and the breathy vocals setting move apart from p much every other 2017 release.

8. quite possibly the vibiest song in kpop, the 7th sense is one of the best debut tracks by an sm artist. all of it is flawless, from the intro (one of my favorites ever), to the choreo, verses, and heck, even the styling.

7. i debated for a long time about whether to put fancy or feel special in this spot, but i had to give it to the queen. fancy should’ve won 2019 mama soty. no reasoning is necessary for this one we can all agree on this.

6. ahhhh, pristin. the greatest girl group that could have been. when i’m not thinking about burning down pledis, i’m listening to the most fun song in existence: pristin’s wee woo. and no, i don’t take constructive criticism about that.

5. who doesn’t love a good summer anthem? everything about red flavor, from the music video, to the outfits, to the choreo, to the actual music itself, is a pure shot of serotonin straight to the brain.

4. while the rest of the song isn’t necessarily spectacular to me, tempo is home to arguably the best bridge in all of kpop. exo have shown us time and time again that they’re vocal kings, and the acapella section just proves it once more.

3. this right here is the best mashup between two songs that has ever existed. clue and note are probably both in kpop’s top 20 on their own, but together? a solid number three. watch the live version from shinee world four to absolutely transcend.

1. this. this is the mother of all kpop songs. if you’ve never listened to this masterpiece, go do it, right now. every single second of the chaser is pure gold (not to mention the stunning choreography!!). hands-down, the best song in all of kpop.
