As a football fan and an FPL addict, I try to watch as many PL games I can.

This season, I have decided to share my views. Thought it may help those who couldn't watch the games, or simply like to read the information.

I will only be posting info from games I actually watched
GW1 Notes 📝

FUL ⚪️⚫️ vs ARS 🔴⚪️

Arteta's team looked solid, but consider Fulham was not much of an opposition. Willian very sharp. Very active and on set-pieces. Laca scored once and had other chances. Auba playing wide-left as expected, but getting into the box a lot.
AMN looking good. Still need to see how Arsenal defense works vs a better opposition. Just 5 mins for Nkeitah, no minutes for Saka.

If Fulham don’t improve heavily, they will play for relegation. Main concern about Mitro is not the fact that he was benched.
When in pitch, almost no participation. Fulham does not seem to create chances for him to finish. Concerning.

CRY🦅 vs SOU👼🏻
SOU didn’t look good. Ings and Adams equally involved in the attack (8.5 vs 6). It was unlucky that Adams didn’t provide any attacking returns.
KWP in good form and very attacking. Could have been sent off for a hard challenge.

Zaha looked in great shape. If we would have been more generous, CRY could have scored more goals. Mitchell a very attractive option at 4.0 until PVA is back. Congrats for those who play him.
LIV🔴 vs LEE⚪️

Liverpool looked very poor defensively and with lack of energy. TAA in concerning form. Lack of his usual stamina and intensity. Robertson looking way better than TAA. In a poor defensive game, VVD managed to score twice (one was ruled out by VAR).
You just can’t fight the king👑. Impressive performance from Salah. Mané not involved. Poor performance.

Leeds had an amazing performance. PL level. Very competitive, ambitious and intense. Loved Harrison (5.5) very attacking playing wide-left. Very promising FPL asset.
Liked Ayling’s performance a lot, in a tough game. Good potential. Early to say, but Bamford looked like a good option for a 5.5 FWD.
WHU⚒️ vs NEW⚫️⚪️

Very poor form from WHU. Besides Antonio, that might provide some value at certain point of the season, I don’t see myself owning any West Ham asset this year. Strong candidate for relegation.

Newcastle had a correct game. Callum Wilson was very active.
Promising first game, with the expectation he manages to be the player we all loved two seasons ago. ASM was very active, unlucky not to provide some kind of attacking return.
TOT⚪️ vs EVE🔵

Concerning form from the Spurs. Acceptable 1st half, but no reaction after Everton’s goal. Alli had a decent 1H, but only played 45’. Didn’t get why Mou replaced him at HT.

Doherty almost scored but looked somehow less attacking than when playing for Wolves.
Davies looked good, with interesting involvement in attack. Son could have provided attacking returns but did not look very active. Inconsistent. Poor game from Moura and Kane.

Everton showed an impressive form. Worth considering its assets. If they can keep it up, we will be
talking a lot about Ancelotti’s team. James played 90’ and looked really good. Involved and generating chances. Richarlison was extremely active and could have scored if he would have been a little bit more precise. Points will come. DCL provided the goal you need from a 6.0 FWD
SHU⚔️vs WOL🐺

Doing more of the same. Very solid at the back, good attacking potential. Jimenez very active and clinical.
Traore played 1st half as RWB. In that position, his potential for attacking returns is reduced significantly. Ended up playing forward, where he did
brilliantly and had a couples of chances to score. Saiss solid defensively, saved a SHU goal at stoppage time. Great attacking threat in corners. Scored once, could have been two. Very nice at 5.0.
Podence was ok. Played 75’ and provided an assist. Nice 5.5 option. Rotation risk
Sheffield started the game sleeping, taking two goals in the first 6 minutes. Improved in second half, but they still seem to lack offensive power.

Ramsdale could have done better in both goals.
BHA🔵⚪️ vs CHE🔵

Despite of the victory, kind of a disappointing game from Chelsea. They looked like a team in formation (which they are). New players still adapting, and regular players missing. We’ll still have to wait and see.
Werner looked very sharp and fast in the first half. Got an assist by being fouled for the penalty that decided the game. Poor second half, looked tired at the end.

Great game by Reece James, who seems amazing value (5.0). Brilliant goal. He was also in charge of taking corners,
and got an assist. Still not nailed, consider rotation risk.

Quiet debut from Havertz (80’). Nothing spectacular. Kepa still lame. A lot of responsibility in the goal.
Interesting attacking moves from Brighton (Lallana, Trossard & Maupay)
Impressive performance by Lamptey, both defensively and attacking. Very incisive. He got a “lucky” assist. One to watch.

Bissouma played 90 minutes. Enough for a 4.5 MID.
