There are so many of you being so good at making comics matching good art and simplification skills. For instance, I see these simple backgrounds made with wonky lines and one or two flat colors that work so good and require (I imagine) so little time.
Why should I make my life so hard wasting a lot of time drawing and coloring with care every single prop of one background? Acquiring mediocre results most of the time because I'm bad with lighting and space proportions.
Is it my way of drawing characters to blame? Would simplified backgrounds even fit with my style? Am I too polished for comics? Should I change my whole process of conceiving art? I really want and need to be quicker at drawing but I feel stuck into my own style. So frustrating.
