The social permissioning effects of Trump on frontline psychopaths in federal agencies is far worse than anything he’s personally complicit in. He’s not imaginative enough to be involved in anything worse than tawdry low-hanging fruit $ grifts. But people he enables... wow.

There’s a curious kind of cluelessness where people decide acting out of a sense of personal integrity without regard to actual integrity of people around you is principled behavior. It’s the flip side of “look what you made me do”
