⚠️Fun Fact Thread Ahead⚠️

Here's a thread of facts about some of today's TC developments you can use to impress (bore?) your friends & family during your next video chat.

1. @NHC_Atlantic is issuing advisories on 5(!) TCs. This ties the most on record from Sept 1971.
2. Tropical Storm Teddy has formed in the south Atlantic. Teddy is the earliest 19th named storm on record, beating the Unnamed Storm, which formed on Oct 4, 2005.

This subtropical storm was identified posthumously during the post-season analysis. https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/data/tcr/AL212005_Unnamed.pdf
3. Tropical Storm Vicky was also named today, making it the earliest 20th named storm. The earliest 20th storm was previously Tammy on Oct 5, 2005.

This is also only the 2nd time a "V" storm has been named. The previous time was, you guessed it, 2005.
4. There's only one more name to go (Wilfred) before the traditional name list is exhausted & NHC begins using the Greek Alphabet. Should this happen, this would be only the 2nd time those names have been used. The first time was in 2005, when we got to Zeta for a record 28 TCs.
