The heavy presence of Malice in the Divine Beasts, the castle, and Castle Town all make sense. But for it to be present in the other locations is something I find... intriguing.
One could argue Akkala is so swamped because it was swarmed by Guardians, which were then (mostly) destroyed by Zelda& #39;s holy magic bomb. The problem with that theory is that Fort Hateno and the surrounding fields aren& #39;t at all afflicted with Malice.
I dunno, given that that was ground zero for the magic nuke Zelda set off, maybe that burned out all the Malice? But either way, that doesn& #39;t explain the other locations...
But Naydra. Naydra is interesting, given that the Calamity was able to corrupt and thus control the Divine Beasts.
Naydra isn& #39;t completely corrupted when we find her, which implies her infection is recent... perhaps coinciding with the revival of both Link and the Calamity?

A nature spirit such as the dragons, which can injure Link if he doesn& #39;t take care, corrupted and controlled by Ganon... it& #39;s a chilling thought.

But what if Naydra wasn& #39;t the target at all? We find her nested at the Spring of Wisdom. Did she do so seeking healing? Or did she protect the Spring from the Calamity, only to find herself infected?
