okay i’m gonna be real for a sec cause i can. i’m not talking about anyone in particular so pls don’t be offended.
& let me preface this thread by saying trust me i have no hating bone in my body i feel like there’s enough room at the top for everyone and what’s for you will be for you. God has given everyone a special talent/gift/ purpose and that’s that.
i love how everyone is tapping into their entrepreneurial bag. but let’s be real it’s not for everyone & some ppl have no business running a business.
Some things can be a hobby & it’s okay or leave it as a hobby and not monetize it.
let me get to my point. as a consumer if the ONLY difference between your product and another same product is the packaging... and the other one is cheaper i’m choosing the other product idc if i know you or not.
ppl have starting slapping cute labels on cheap shit and selling it for a ridiculous price. & well.... good luck charlie.
as a consumer i look for QUALITY, eco friendliness, price, customer service, and packaging. that’s just me personally & unless i try a product and LIKE it i’m not gonna brag about it, that’s FAKE af.
good friends should not be supporting a friends business just cause it’s their friend. are you selling to just your friends or do you have a marketable, quality product that has a future longer than 3 years...
don’t look for JUST the support of your friends to buy your products and market it for you.
cause i be feeling bad wanting to support all my friends and their businesses but if i won’t use it, why would i buy it? obviously i’m not the target audience and that’s okay.
i used to have a meal prepping business in college cause i needed extra $$ that was the sole purpose of it honestly, like i love to cook n ppl be liking it so i was like fck it let me start charging.
i immediately regretted it as soon as i slapped prices on it because now it wasn’t a hobby that i loved to but a service i was required to give. and that took the joy away for me. the money was great and when i hit my goal i really did not enjoy it anymore.
my “business” was now a burden for me and it showed lmao i didn’t put anymore effort and it just wasn’t worth it for me & i didn’t even enjoy cooking anymore. i realized that i love cooking for my friends and just cooking in general and that’s fine.
long story short, it’s not by force. don’t let LLC twitter bully into feeling like you HAVE to start a business. and make sure you’re doing it with the right intentions and not just for the $$$. your time is precious don’t waste it doing things you don’t genuinely enjoy.
