Floch is as much a victim as the rest of the characters and you shouldn't demonize him, a thread.

Before I begin, I want to clarify that I do not intend to justify his actions, but to explain that he suffered no less than the other characters, and his behavior is as understandable as theirs. This thread is made for people who WANT to try to reconsider their opinion.
ALSO sorry for my bad english, i hope you'll understand me.
1. False expectations.
Floch joined the Survey Corps at fifteen, inspired by beautiful words about the salvation of humanity. It was his choice, of course, but when you listen to him it's obvious that the veterans made it sound like something heroic and when you're a kid hearing
that from an adult veteran you will obviously believe it, especially given the fact that after the survey corps killed Rod Reiss everyone started treating them like heroes. However, reality is nothing like the propaganda made it sound and Floch wasn't prepared for it.
Instead of dying like a hero, sacrificing himself for humanity, as the veterans made it sound, he was going to die absolutely meaningless. In short, he was about to die because of a lie. Obviously, realizing it was very traumatic, and it's shown in Floch's reaction.
2. Loss.
But despite that he still agreed to participate in the suicide charge, as a result of which literally all of his friends died. People talk about other character's loss so much but they absolutely ignore that Floch has lost everyone he knew as friends and comrades.
It made him so angry that he wanted to kill Erwin, then he wanted to spare him to make him suffer longer in this world, I understand that it's very bad, but he was still in shock, a traumatized child who watched his friends die. And he still didn't let his emotions rule his mind
When he saw that Erwin's plan worked, Floch realized something that had a huge impact on him: you have to be "the devil." Cruel decisions must be made, as Erwin did when he made these children run to their death. Floch saved him not because he wanted revenge and make him suffer
longer, but because he believed that Erwin was the devil they needed to win. He doesn't want to revenge Erwin for the suicide charge anymore, because he thinks it was necessary. "Being cruel is necessary". This is important because it explains all of his actions in the future.
A lot of people judge Floch for being angry at Eren Mikasa and Levi during the ceremony. He had all the rights to be angry. While his friends died for humanity and Floch himself barely survived, EML behaved selfishly. They allowed the only person who, according to Floch, could
save humanity to die because of their feelings. People who died in the suicide charge had feelings too, but they still fought and lost everything. EM didn't want to lose anything and sacrificed Erwin for their friend. Look at it from Floch's perspective. It's not fair, is it?
"But he didn't have to be rude to Armin, it's not his fault". Correct. But Floch didn't judge Armin, he judged EML. He only spoke to Armin after Armin started talking to him about the situation first, so Armin asked for it, sorry. Floch just answered honestly, like he sees it.
3. Guilt.
Floch also went through survivor guilt and self-loathing. He calls himself a coward and fodder. He feels bad for surviving when everyone else is dead and the reason he thought he survived is dead thanks to EML. He dealt with it alone because his friends are also dead.
Before i start talking about timeskip Floch i'd like to add that there's a high chance that he is radicalized by Eren. Floch was shocked when he first heard of Eren's plan and by now Eren has manipulated many people. I'm sure that helping Eren is !HIS OWN DECISION! but if we look
at pretimeskip Floch he is not this radical, so it might be Eren's job after all. But what he has learned from the most traumatic experience he had also plays a big role, which is basically "Being a devil/radical/cruel is necessary".
I want to clarify the building thing because a lot of people got it wrong. Please take a look at the panels. Floch blew up the building because Magath's soldiers were hiding there. Jean did it too, the only reason he yelled at Floch was because Floch blew up the whole building-
wasting no time to find out which rooms the soldiers were hiding in. Of course some civilians died, but Floch didn't blew up the building to kill them. He knew about genocide, he doesn't let emotions rule his mind, so why would he waste his time to do that? It's out of character.
Did he care that he killed civilians? No. And he shouldn't, because during a war there's no time to think about enemies, even if they are innocent. Is it bad? Yes. Is it realistic? Also yes. He didn't care about the victims but he didn't kill them for joy neither.
Keep in mind that Floch never had a chance to see that not everyone outside the walls is bad, like the alliance did. He wasn't with them when all the "ice cream, thief kid" thing was going on and when he finally came to Marley the only thing he saw is a bunch of people cheering
after a war declaration. The war started and he started fighting, as he should. Despite the fact that i feel bad for innocent victims, i can't blame Floch for not caring about them. They will die during the rumbling anyway. And Eren doesn't care too. "Eren showed us".
The "you should know your place" has nothing to do with race. Floch is enjoying himself, he thinks that Eldia won and he finally found his place, being the devil's right hand. It's pretty obvious if you look back at pretimeskip Floch shitting on himself. It's nothing more.
"Being radical is necessary" really stuck in his head. That's also the reason he made rookies beat the shit out of Shadis because if they're not able to do that they are useless. That's the reason the yeagerists lost, they didn't shoot Mikasa and warned her instead, got killed
by her, Samuel and Daz didn't kill Armin and Connie and got killed by them. And Floch himself, no matter all the radical shit he did and how hard he tried to be the devil, in the end he didn't try to kill anyone from the alliance and attacked the plane instead. Also got killed.
I can only imagine all the pressure he put on himself, trying to be the devil. But at the last moment, he was not angry, radical or violent. He did not attack his comrades who had betrayed him, although that would be more effective, he attacked the plane, he begged them not to go
