Here is Obioma Nwankwo, a. k. a OSISIKANKWU. The most notorious kidnapper South East Nigeria has ever seen. He was deadly, a ruthless killer/cold blooded murderer. Him & his team terrorised ABA, the commercial capital of Abia State.

But on Sunday, 12 of Dec 2010, he met his end.

Osisikankwu is from Ugwuati, in Ukwa West LGA of Abia State. But lived so many years in PH, & was a member of a dreaded militant group in Okirika, Rivers state. After Late President Umaru Musa Ya'adua granted amnesty to Niger Delta militants, he decided to relocate to Abia State.

He went back to his home town of Ugwuati, to form what will later be the most dreaded kidnapping/criminal gang, in the history of SouthEast and SouthSouth Nigeria. Using the ever fearful Ugwuati evil forest as operational base. His group terrorised Abia state, and it's environs.

His gang operates from Umuafuoka junction, near Ukwakiri  in the Obingwa LGA of Abia State, up to Oyigbo  in Rivers State. His gang is sophisticated, that he even splinted them into smaller units of different kidnapping gangs. But they all reports to him OSISIKANKWU.

They were also into bank robbery, car jacking, & all sorts of crime. The group is well armed with sophisticated weapons & boast of over 3000 strong men, according to Osisikankwu. He operated with reckless abandon, almost unnoticed, until he kidnapped 15 primary
school pupils.

It was in the early hours of Monday 27th of September 2010, 15  pupils of Abayi International  School in  Aba, we're kidnapped. That incident caused outrage all over the country. @GEJonathan rose up to the challenge, and declared enough is enough on OSISIKANKWU.

The incident took place in the market metropolis of Abia State fondly called Enyinmba City. The kidnappers, came with an ash-coloured Toyota Camry, intercepted the Abayi school van, brandishing AK47 & G3 assault rifles, ordered the van to follow them, and took the kids away.

Before then Osisikankwu & his gang has kidnapped, maimed & killed quite a huge number of Nigerians & some foreign nationals. He has attacked & robbed countless number of banks around Abia state, & has killed quite a number of @PoliceNG officers, who are mostly his soft targets.

Osisikankwu started his criminal gang in January 2010. then Nigeria was faced with political uncertainty. @GEJonathan wasn't wielding any political power, Yar'adua was sick, and wasn't in the country. The country was been run by a cabal. Osisikankwu capitalized very well on it.

He had a free ride with kidnappings, robberies and all other forms of criminality in and around Abia State for quite a long time. Especially around Aba. Residence of the town flee for their lives. Commercial banks stopped operating because of Osisikankwu.

But in May 2010, @GEJonathan was given the political power as the substantive president, following the demise of Yar'adua. He quickly did a review of the security situation around the country, as the C in C. He gave the failed service chiefs & security heads, a very short notice.

After settling down, in September 2010 he fired all of them. That was during the height of Osisikankwu's criminal operations around Abia State. @GEJonathan appointed Lt Gen Azubuike Ihejirika, who is a native of Abia state, as his new Chief of Army staff COAS.

His first job and major assignment, was to get Osisikankwu, and end all forms of kidnappings around Abia state, with immediate effect. The new COAS swang into action, and @GEJonathan approved the deployment of a special task force, to end the activities of Osisikankwu.

The operation was coordinated by the GOC, 82 Div Enugu. Maj Gen Sarki Yaki Bello, under the direct supervision of the chief of Army staff Lt Gen Ihejirika, With the president treating it as a case of special interest.

The team was deployed on the 30th of September 2010, they entered Abia state on November 1st, 2010. They combed the entire evil forest of Ugwuati in search of Osisikankwu. After 6 weeks of deployment of the special task force by @GEJonathan, Osisikankwu was killed, and his body driven all around Aba by the military, in an open roof car. For all the residence to see and be assured. That was the end of incessant kidnappings in Abia state till date.

But same cannot be said of @MBuhari and his @OfficialAPCNg govt. No success story in all fronts. Rather things are getting worse. The current Chief of Army staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, is from Borno State. But sadly, he cannot visit his village frequently, because of Boko Haram.

99.9% percent of security heads in Nigeria today, are from the north. But many of them don't travel outside the comforts of Abuja. Even Mr President home state Katsina is not safe. Kidnapping and banditry is the order of the day.

Kaduna state has the highest number of military formations, military equipments, and it is the home to various military institutions and establishments in Nigeria. Yet, same time the home of kidnappers. Kaduna-Abuja express, is a no go area. The kidnappers are always there.

Same things is happening in almost the entire 19 northern states of Nigeria. A once peaceful region. Yet the perpetrators are walking free, collecting ransom despite their identities known by the local community members that they terrorise.

@MBuhari is a retired General, but his actions on genuine criminals, are like that of a civilian. But records has shown that @GEJonathan was truly turf on criminals like a retired General, despite being a civilian. Once there is a will, there is a way. @MBuhari Should rise up.
