You can’t have a fulfilling relationship with a God who oppresses you or focus on Jesus when an institution that bears His name actively hurts marginalized communities. If we’re gonna get back to basics, we have to root out the destructive obstacles that make God inaccessible. 2/
My healthy relationship with Heavenly Parents only came because I refused to accept the narrative that they were the ones who had hurt me for some grand purpose and instead put the responsibility for that pain on mortal men. I’m hoping the church can do the same. /Fin
