there's nothing better than seeing damon keep the sentiment that hes making music for the sake of it, not popularity, only for the gorillaz media management to come in and talk about making this a commercial success.. i think thats the best summary of the band atm we could get
ofc its to be expected the media managers are talking about the success and profitability of the band.. thats their job.. but i feel it explains a lot about why we dont have them & the writer (a childs author/salesman) use the characters to echo views like damons anymore
they seem too focused on marketing this band successfully that theyve ignored what worked to help successfully market gorillaz in the past (the characters & their views on pop/celeb culture and the music biz)
