This is a thread for @BlueCrossNC “We’ve got you covered“, “Committed to access & affordability“ ..if that were really true, then this wouldn’t be the second time you’ve over charged my bf $900 without notice for his insulin and left him waiting on the phone for almost an hour
$900 is hundreds over rhe actual price he qualifies for. And because no one could help him in time before the weekend, he had to ration his INSULIN out until Monday, and is now on his last vile. He cant even eat his meal yet because it would require more insulin than he has left.
He EVEN took the extra, proacrive step before running low to call his doctor (by whom he was dismissed for days, but thats a seoarate issue) to request an extra perscription because his blood sugar has been so bad (high) recently. This request was sent to you with AMPLE time.
Now I know most people would say “save it“ to this next part bc *big pharma* doesn’t *actually* care about your *actual* day to day life & it’s very active affect on that for someone living with type 1 diabetes, a disease they didn’t have ant control over having... (cont.)
But I’m gonna say it anyway, we were supposed to be leaving for vacation this morning, my bf’s first vacation all year after working nearly 50+ hours a week, but we are now delayed because he was not only put on hold..again..for an unreasonable amount of time..but also (cont.)
-offered something called an “emergency perscription“ by an associate he was never able to reach again after the 1st call, and then denied the offer all together. I would add respectfully before all of this, but this is not the first time this has happened and this is someone’s-
-actual lifeline you’re dealing with. It feels dismissive at this point, careless and grossly capitalistic of a peraon’s illness. To reps in charge of social media, I know this has nothing to do w/ you & is probably frustrating for you to recieve, but-
-please, if you can see the pain & frustration we are coming from, if you at all agree w the discontent I’ve expressed in this thread, if you long to see a shift in the mechanics of America’s healthcare system, I implore you to speak out and share this burden w yoir higer ups. TY
