One personnel grouping we saw from the #Eagles on Sunday was & #39;02 personnel& #39; with 0 RBs, 2 TEs and 3 WRs on the field - and all of the looks were in Empty on third down. The goal? Make the defense declare coverage against your 5 best playmakers spread across width of the field
Here are the two INTs that proved to be pivotal in this game. #WAS got 14 points off the two picks. Subpar timing between QB/WRs on both plays, also excellent plays on the ball both off zone corners for #WFT #FlyEaglesFly https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt="">
My big takeaway after looking at all 8 sacks: a handful of small things to clean up for Week 2. A couple of assignment errors, a couple of nice plays by the defense, some bad luck on a chip block. The good news? All of this is correctable this week before Game No. 2 for #Eagles
Too often the #Eagles were in bad positions on 3rd down. Too many 3rd-and-longs in this game. That being said, one guy who showed up a couple of times on 3rd down was Greg Ward, and he showed up EXACTLY the way you want a reliable slot guy to show up in-game... #FlyEaglesFly https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt="">
One guy that really stood out to @BenFennell_NFL and I on film? Rookie Jack Driscoll in his first start. Model of consistency. Couple of mental busts, which is to be expected for a rookie, but consistent technique, knee bend, hand usage and effort for 50 snaps #FlyEaglesFly https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt="">
The rookie everyone wanted to see was Jalen Reagor, and he came through for a HUGE 55-yard catch and it was something I& #39;ve definitely seen from him before on film at TCU. Reagor had the huge play, and there& #39;s plenty to improve on as well. Strong debut for the 1st-rounder #Eagles
