I mean, have you ever seen a group of more dramatic pencil pushers in your life? PFF will exclusively nit pick TD passes from Allen as if it& #39;s normal to say a touchdown pass wasn& #39;t thrown perfectly accurate.
And don& #39;t even get me started on Brian& #39;s comment.
And don& #39;t even get me started on Brian& #39;s comment.
Imagine watching someone in the same game make THIS throw into triple coverage and saying an over throw in a game in hand is "the worst pass in NFL history" and still having an ounce of respect.
here& #39;s the thing - I genuinely like & respect a lot of the work PFF does. There& #39;s a huge place in the game for their data & grading. It& #39;s 1 thing when you& #39;re doing it to troll people but it& #39;s another to completely overlook an entire game worth of throws to cherry pick 1
it& #39;s not my job to make Sam Monson or PFF Brad or that dbag from Fox Sports to like Allen - I don& #39;t care about who they do and don& #39;t like. It& #39;s another to make it your task to consistently give Allen zero positive marks regardless of what he does. It& #39;s bush league.
For the most part, I think a lot of Allen trolling is funny. But PFF has gone from a really solid, objective source for bridging the gap between film and data analysis to a troll farm who gets off on angering Bills fans on Twitter. It& #39;s sad, unprofessional and frankly tiring.
And here I am - having to oddly defend a quarterback whom I& #39;ve thoroughly enjoyed watching come into his own in a system he was never supposed to be able to execute. Watching him execute an NFL spread system based on short, intermediate timing routes effectively is eye opening.
