what is #YesHomoVivah and why are we trending it;

the hashtag #YesHomoVivaah can be translated as yes to homo marriage.

on august 2017, india gave the country's LGBT community the freedom to safely express their sexual orientation. therefore, an individual's sexual orientation is protected under the country's Right to Privacy law.

though same sex marriage is still illegal in india. there’s been protests but to no avail. today, the government claimed that same sex marriages does not recognise india’s culture and values.

and which concludes that same sex marriages are still a crime. as a 19 year old, i feel it my duty to make my country a safe place for everyone. love is not based on gender. stop criminalising same sex marriage.

for the lgbtq community, we are here. we will not let homophobic selfish pricks attack you. we love you. we accept you as you are. say yes to same sex marriage. #YesHomoVivah
