2. I’m thankful he’s now shaping this on his terms after people tried to expose him.

Queerness is often used as an attack against us and that’s especially true for people — Black folks — who white society sees as more acceptable or liked. Reminder of our op-ed: https://thegrio.com/2020/03/27/black-people-support-andrew-gillum/

In the end, it is only bisexual people who can determine if they see this “inviting in” as harmful (based on how it was done). I just want to caution how we respond to this especially since we are not R. Jai, his wife, who gets to chose what’s best for her and their family.
