Genuine question: when I respond to emails, I don't like dawdling around with 'hope you're well' / 'happy Friday'/ 'these trying times' etc. If I'm already in frequent contact with the person, I just say 'hey' and kinda launch into what I need to say. Is this rude? Am I... bad?
i think part of the reason that this stresses me out is that my inbox is 50/50 irish/english people, and on the whole my irish colleagues tend to put a lot of effort into doing very personable, sweet, funny emails and my english ones tend to get to the point
this thread is really about whether or not everyone in ireland hates me and thinks i'm an oaf
