An increased sense of community helped some:
6,000 new mutual aid groups appeared around the world
In NYC, 10,000 people volunteered to deliver groceries and prescriptions
In the UK, 3.6 million hours of help were given

To combat boredom, some people accessed green spaces and moved more:
6 in 10 people polled in the UK felt more connected to nature during lockdown
Globally, sales of bikes boomed
In Italy, there was a spike in pet sales

Others turned to religion and new perspectives:
18% of 18- to 34-year-olds in the UK prayed, says Christian Aid and Tear Fund
Sales of books by the Greek Stoics increased
In Kenya, mental health workers partnered with religious leaders on a helpline

That's why we, along with @WHO, @WEF & @UNICEF, are committing to three principles in our approach to #MentalHealth
