Scorpios defence mechanism is privacy, their power is in the things they don’t share and show because then it cannot be used against them, taken advantage of or they remain in a powerful position because they can say you didn’t really know them or you weren’t really let in.

Overwhelming if they do not turn out as positive as they desperately need things to. Which makes them feel powerless, vulnerable, like they were stupid and they’ll beat themselves up for the mistake they made, the misjudgement they had and their stupidity in accepting these
Feelings in themselves. That lack of control and power over themselves makes them feel a little pissed, and not at themselves but at the thing for bringing it out of them. This is why they may go a long way to self sabotage or completely deny these emotions and give many reasons
To put themselves off, it can get into an obsessive need to find something wrong, prove their suspicions right and the belief that they shouldn’t feel this way. Or this is why setbacks and mistakes from others, can throw them off completely and put them back on sq1 in needing to
Trust and open up again, it’s to reinforce the idea that they are powerful over these positive emotions within themselves. This is why the whole rebirth and restructure and rebuild and death of old self happens when something negative happens in something they have opened up
Towards and admitted feelings to themselves and others. It’s fear. They’re scared of what it now means, you and they have seen this side of them that they held onto tightly to highlight their power, the side of them they hide and rarely admit out of fear of losing control over
Self. Now they have to rebuild because you ain’t allowed to know that them. You can’t be part of the new them they’re going to become. It’s easier to deny that they were ever that person because that person no longer exists now. They burned and cremated it. They’re reborn.
