Back to my #Madden21
https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt=""> 21 leaderboard analysis. It’s super useful. Did you know that according to the stats, top players like @Henry773_ and @JoelCP_ run only 5 to 7 “unique” off and def plays per game. Most top players have low core play variation.
What makes them special is their ability to hot route and make unique adjustments to the plays they run creating infinite combinations. It tells me that I should probably reduce my play variance and focus on more looks out of less plays.
Now when it comes to takeaways, I& #39;m definitely elite, ranking in the top 25 in takeaways on PS4 but I acknowledge that this puts causes me to give up points I shouldn& #39;t by taking chances. To be really good as in madden, you need to try to average close to 2 a game.
So as far as giveaways, top players turn the ball over on average 1 or fewer times per game. I turn the ball over 1.34 timers, which means I still need to work on reducing my turnovers a good bit. This of course creates less opportunities for your opponent to turn the tide.
According to the stats, top madden players convert on 3rd down at least 50% of the time, so you should be targeting to be to be at least there (I& #39;m at 47%), and if you really want to be good, getting into the mid 50& #39;s or 60 percent like @Henry773_ is good advice.
The best #madden21
https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt=""> players in the world shut the run down, with many of them allowing fewer than 55 rushing yards per game. I& #39;m currently allowing 70 so I have some work to do. The stout run D, probably drives people to pass, allowing to them force bad passes and turnovers.
Regardless of popular opinion, the best madden players still pass the ball primarily with most of them running the ball under 40% per game. I& #39;m much closer to 50/50 here, but maybe I need to skew it more to the pass game? hmm.
To blitz or not to blitz? The best #Madden21
https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt=""> players rarely blitz, only bringing heat via actual blitzes UNDER 10% of the time, showing they& #39;d much rather play coverage, bend but not break and create bad players through QBs having to hold the ball or make bad throws.
On audibling, the best players do it about 45% of the time. So quite a bit of the time they come to the line intending to run a different look than they came out in. That tells me is that they read the first look and have their audibles set to respond. Im only at 27%, work to do
Top players hot route, A LOT. On average they hot route upwards of 50% of the time, with several hot routing 60, 70 or 80 percent of the time, including @Henry773_ at 82%. I& #39;m only at 28% but this tells us that they don& #39;t hardly ever run their plays stock.
The top #madden21
https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt=""> players operate out of shotgun the overwhelming majority of the time, upwards of 70% of the time. There must be something about shotgun that leads so many of the best players to use it as their primary approach. I& #39;m only at 27%, I need more shotgun!!
