2. Kids appreciated I didn't ask for pronouns publicly. Safer space, trust, & community haven't been strongly built yet, so (a) asking for pronouns privately, & (b) modelling pronoun normalization by identifying them for yourself (very particularly if you're cis) are the way2go.
3. Leaving optional space on a student survey for "further explanation" re: pronouns and names + shifting contexts is
. I *didn't* do this, and had a student email me letting me know that I shouldn't use their pronouns/name with parents, as parents weren't in the know.

Anyways, hope everyone has a smoother week than last. Let's pull out all the clichés this year, do this thing one day at a time, give 'er 110%, and ensure our own oxygen masks go on first!
