It's sad that a lot of people actually defend pokimane or think that she hasn't done anything wrong; they think that's this doesn't change anything, but these people clearly have too many air bubbles in their brains to even begin to comprehend the bigger picture
Here's a reminder of what toxic western fans have caused:

That's just scratching the surface of the plague knows as W*stern fans. You let these people into your own niche hobby and the next thing you know, it's morphed into something completely unrecognisable. This isn't just some baseless conjecture, this shit has happened MANY TIMES
And that's just the general western fan, I haven't even scratched the surface of what pokimane brings to the table. She's the one person you DON'T want laying their sickly little hands into anything you love
Not only has it been confirmed MULTIPLE times of how manipulative, hypocritical and dishonest a person she is, she is an absolute snake that will cancel you the moment you even LOOK at her funny. That's the kind of person you want shedding light on vtubers? That's your spearhead?
Need I also remind you of how TOXIC twitch chats usually are, ESPECIALLY hers? You really want these """fans""" to practically raid vtubers with stupid twitch jargon, "pokimane sent me!!!" messages and just massive spam altogether?
Most, if not all vtubers, are Japanese; they cannot understand english. Now, imagine pokimane fans (or westerners) raiding their streams - imagine how stressful it would be for the individual to see so many incomprehensible messages in a foreign language shoved down their throat.
A large influx of new fans and subscribers is never a good thing. Let the channel mold itself, because once you get too many ingredients in one pot - you ruin the broth. Or whatever. Point is - the majority of the west just cannot coexist with current fans due to their toxic acts
History tends to repeat itself and here's what could happen in the future because of one this:
Relatively small hobby gets too popular for its own good > more people flock to it > unsavoury types join in > they change everything you previously liked about the hobby

Hell, I don't even want imagine how these types would react to lewd art of some of these vtubers. God forbid they see some of the character backgrounds and realise sone of them are lolis or shotas
