#WordOfTheWeek
EXPOSURE
To be affected by something or experiencing something.

In photography, exposure is the amount of light per unit area reaching a frame of photographic film.
In Nigeria however, exposure is the means in which some people intend to pay creatives/beginners generally in exchange for their hard work.
Switch Media has chosen Exposure as the word of the week to create conversations around this & prevent beginners/creatives from falling into any entrapment.
Exposure in this term is seen as a reach to an audience, some larger than others. It is beneficial in the sense that more people will get to know about you & your work most importantly.
What beginners fail to understand is, on every job you will always have an audience. All jobs come with a form of exposure regardless if you’re paid or unpaid, especially as a creative.
If you dig deeper you will figure that the Jobs which pay you even tend to come with more audience & exposure . Be patient, don’t let anyone trick you into offering your services for free.
Since we are talking about exposure this week, you can comment and tell us your experiences relating to this or you can tell us your thoughts about this.
