1984: A world in which ‘objective reality does not exist, or at least is deemed to be illegal by the all-seeing state...universal surveillance conducted by “the thought police”, using telescreens that simultaneously transmit & receive & are delicate enough to sense a heartbeat’ ?

1984: A world where ‘collecting the facts is a revolutionary act. Insisting on the right to do so is perhaps the most subversive action possible.’
