ya’ll know gender non-conformity isn’t just masculine women and feminine men right? it’s also not conforming to the gender binary itself, at least according to the person who coined the first non-binary identity in america. not all gnc folks are non-binary, but non-binary IS gnc.

exclusionists are accusing me of “erasing real women” and “enforcing gender roles” by acknowledging that historical lesbians’ GNC shows how lesbians have a complex relationship with gender for the same reasons many of us identify as non-binary now. it’s legitimate TERF rhetoric.
