if you just binged drink lots of potassium- potassium flushes out salt. i love airborne strawberry tablets (dissolve in water), and body armor lite and remember to have some magnesium also as it goes well with potassium
if you ingested a lot of carbs, use this to your advantage the next day. start the morning off with a strong body weight workout with all that extra energy and build your muscle which helps boost metabolism
eating a lot of sweets and have a headache? rehydrate yourself. go for a walk if you can to get the blood flowing
its been said but i’ll say it again, don’t brush your teeth if you purged right after, it’ll break down your teeth more. rinse with water and wait an hour if you can
if you have to purge, throughout your binge chew your food as much as you can, drink water before, during, and after so your throat doesn’t swell too much and replenish with electrolytes since you just got rid of all that water in you
i dont know why this isn’t said more: to prevent binging don’t just eat fibrous fruit and veg (carbs) for energy and satiation, eat PROTEIN! protein can be low cal, it is so filling, it helps maintain your muscle to avoid loose skin and fat
protein powder, even a bite of a protein bar, cottage cheese, salmon, most lean fishes, shrimp, egg whites and even vegan meats are low cal and high protein and are filling, you’d be suprised how much you can eat for so little calories
ik its addicting to feel an empty stomach, but if its tormentous go on r/volumeeating on reddit. there are many high volume recipes (from 50cal protein ice cream and brownies) to eat A LOT for very little calories
its pretty well known but if you are feeling faint go for caffeine to give you some energy and supress apetite, i like mio and americanos a lot, if its not enough go for a protein if you want to be full and a carb if even caffeine doesn’t help
other than caffeine look for satiereal (saffron extract) in things like pills if you really need to supress your apetite
laxatives scare me personally and fiber supplements make me bloated (ie. psyillum husks) so to naturally try to induce a bowel peppermint tea is the way to go
