Elections cost money, sure, but people have money. If you're truly a party of the people, they would setup elections to limit rich elites & limit third party advertisers, and enable more people to get in on the process.

The UCP is not a party of the people.

It's a party of the few, the privileged, the decadent, the billionaire, foreign-influenced corporations.

Now you're talking about plans to further limit Union donations.

This is tactical political fuckery to remain in power. Period. Own it

You could: limit big donors. Enforce reporting before an election. Limit third party advertisers. Make election day a stat holiday to get everyone out. Pass recall legislation. Actually respond to emails & constituents. Stop harassing dissidents on social media. The list goes on.

There are simple things the UCP could do that would help me believe they're the party of the people, and they do the opposite on everything.
