Please enjoy the latest photo to randomly come across my desktop--one my father took of my mother in the mid-1970s.
He used Kodachrome exclusively--an exquisite photographic canvas. His photos of mom always had a kind of tenderness and grace I would love to compile in an album.
Her relaxed pose, and the general perfection of a moment captured without any kind of of pretense or self-awareness, is so precious to me now.
I'm no art critic (obviously) but am always moved by his portraits. I'll post more to this thread if the opportunity ever arises. He was marvelous at capturing things "in the moment" and accordingly I don't have the time to post his photos without a kind of spontaneity too.
