I was having a talk with my wife on #NEET after she saw a debate & here are my thoughts

1. Tamil Nadu 12th syllabus, question paper & evaluation is shit. I was shocked to know when my wife wrote her 12th her book will have 50 objective question and only those will come IN MATHS

I mean my time also memorization was important but atleast objective type we had to know concept & TNPCEE was also there.Her time it was even bad

2. TN teachers skills and quality need to be upgraded so that they can teach kids the concepts & not just drill them to rote memorize

3. The dumbing down of the syllabus & question papers in large part was NOT due to some social justice move but the pathetic quality of teachers and powerful teacher unions shielding them from accountability. Solution is (2)

4. Every professional course HAS to have an entrance..

And in case of courses like medicine ALSO & exit test. I mean we have qualification exam for lawyers but not for doctors who literally work with life of others ?! Makes zero sense. The stupid idea that entrance exams are not needed has to be dismantled.

5. Anti- #NEET warriors...

..say Tamil kids are at disadvantage wrt to others and hence it must go. Yes,our kids are at a disadvantage but the solution is not keeping them dumb & in a vacuum to continually shield them but prepare them to face these exams by making them understand concepts. But TN political

...parties won’t ever say that coz that would mean too much reform work on their part& taking on the powerful teachers unions with many deadweight useless ppl making up their ranks who don’t have the skills to teach kids. So all this drama about social justice. Hate it.

6. Last but not least stupid CBSE honchos should learn to get the exam logistics/protocols right so that they don’t keep untrained power trippy staff as invigilators who end up harassing the already tensed up kids on exam day.
