In the year before I discovered Bitcoin, I was running a successful business, planning to pivot to a career at Google. I designed a whole plan for how I would get a job there by designing a "google killer" and presenting it as a path forward.

The idea never left me, and elaborated over time. Google even figured out parts of it without me and I got to see some of the features I wanted come to be anyway. But I never presented the full idea, and they never really got there, because, well, it would actually kill Google.

Bitcoin pulled me away from all of that. I stopped caring about Google, or any sort of career the old me would ever conceive of. I spent 7 years in the rabbit hole and dug up all sorts of great stuff. But that Google killer ideal got stronger because of it.

Now it's an internet-as-we-know-it killer. An economy-as-we-know-it killer. Even, a bitcoin-as-we-know-it killer. (no it's not a new blockchain, dont worry). But I won't rest til it is built.
