Funny how people living outside Odisha say he is a great CM, best CM in India and all. He is in seat for last 20 years. He enjoyed a stable period without any Political disruption for 20 years. ..Even unskilled workers are going outside Odisha for jobs. Just one district Ganjam is exporting migrants to the number of 5 lakh. That's only unskilled workers. You ask anyone and they will say he got a job in Bangalore, Surat, Mumbai, Chennai or Hyderabad, but not Odisha. 2/n
To give another real life incident, just 3 week ago a worker was willing to sell his Kidney for money because he didn't had a job and no money! This pic is of yesterday where workers are sitting outside Berhampur station to go back to their jobs! 3/n
Coming to Infrastructure! The infrastructure in nearly all cities except Bhubaneswar is bad. The roads are full of path holes. The health infrastructure is centered around Cuttack- Bhubaneswar only. Even in these 2 cities, Covid exposed how unprepared they are for a pandemic..4/n
...Like this. No hospital are accepting non covid patients now. Well this is the situation in all states now. So let's discount this fact. Coming to household water connection and electricity. Even in Capital of Odisha BBSR, 100% household water availability is not achieved 5/n
Industry- Most industry are based on Mines only. Even then most are in primary stage. No to little value addition happen in Odisha. Just for info Odisha has the largest reserve of ore in India. Most industrial state like TN, take ore from us. Still they are better than us. 6/n
About Textile industry. All legacy textile industry are closed now thanks to policy of Odisha government! The state government brag a lot about its agriculture sector. Odisha government got 3 Krushi Karman Award in a row. I will bust some myths here! 7/n
Odisha depends on WB for Potato, Maharashtra for Onion, AP for Eggs, fish. These are just basic household agri product! Some 2-3 years ago, WB stopped exporting potato to Odisha and our Agriculture minister on record said you can live without eating Potato! All these while.. 8/n
..a major portion of workforce is dependent on Agriculture sector! Coming to IT sector, Odisha was the first state in India to have all 5 big IT cos. BBSR infocity hosted all of the IT cos. But then came the government negligence and no one came to Odisha later. 9/n
Sports- Odisha government spend big on advertising Odisha as sports capital of India. We focused on Hockey which status is even lower than Football and Cricket in World! From last 15 years, there is not a single player playing for Indian National Cricket team from Odisha. 10/n
Government never focused on grassroot till 2018. The only thing we did in the name of promoting sports was hosting it here. Nothing else! Even in that Hockey, Hockey India league is closed now And that Kalinga Lancers was a loss of money! 11/n
Coming to this MoUs. Our government is very good in signing MOUs. We always get proposal for Investment and sign MOUs. Then nothing happens. See these 3 pic. Another example is BBSR ISBT. We have planned and signed multiple MOUs for it in span of 15 years. This government is 12/n
..good in signing MOUs only. Odias are living in a MOUs driven Economy. Coming to that disaster preparedness. The only thing we are good at is preventing death in cyclone. Not in managing what will happen after that. We are facing cyclone every year. Still we don't.. 13/n
..have UG electric lines. Everytime a cyclone will come, we have to face power outrage for 2/3 weeks even in BBSR- CTC! So much for disaster preparedness! 14/n
I have missed so many things. Like Law & order, Tourism etc. I did this thread just to let those who live outside know what is the condition in Odisha and how much of a fraud the current CM is! 15/n
Someone needs to say this. People are pretending like everything is okay. But it's not. Some may ask me why people are voting him. The answer is he is using the money coming from mines in giving freebies. Whenever election will come, he will announce a freebie scheme. 16/n.
Last election he announced that he will give ₹5000 P/M for 3 month to Farmers. Then Alcohol, and other free stuffs will cover whole city population and BJD will win. So next time kindly dont say anything about Odisha as you don't live here.
