I’ve never told anyone outside of my wife this but these stories need to be told.

Last year when my Insurance denied coverage for removing cysts from my brain stem as not medically relevant (Bill over 1mill) we had to use all our saving & sell everything...

Just to be able to pay for the down payment let alone the whole procedure. Not knowing if we would even have $ for Food, mortgage, utilities etc. I felt hopeless & extremely depressed. I thought the only way for my wife to have a future was my life insurance policy....

And I tried to kill myself. I know my logic was flawed but I was ashamed to ask for help. Afterwards, my wife helped me through it. But we need to be willing to have these discussions about destigmatizing mental health and make it an absolute priority. Their are millions going...

similar pain & depression daily. Their struggling w/ Health issues, rationing meds, being forced into the street & going w/out food.

We need to listen, comfort them & above all Fight like our lives depend on it for polices to Help like M4A & UBI bec their lives do depend on it
