#BCWildfire Service is monitoring regions impacted by wildfire smoke in southern B.C. This smoke was forecasted to move into the province over the weekend & is a result of a southern air flow bringing smoke into Canada from wildfires in Washington, Oregon, and California.
Heavy smoke impacts visibility & may affect aviation resources ability to safely support active fires in southern regions of the B.C. Conditions may improve this week; though, there is potential for additional smoke events in the coming weeks from active fires in the U.S.
