For the last week, my life has been surrounded by smoke &fire. Even so, I count myself among the fortunate. The Almeda fire started 3 miles from my house. The wind blew it north away from me, devastating two towns and into Medford. Gone.

of OR is in flames, as even national news is finally writing about. Day 4? 5? FEMA finally released funds. Federal response has been a joke - and these are federal forests that are burning.
We do not have a functioning federal government.
We don’t.

We’re lurching from crisis to crisis, pandemic to wildfires, to bounties on soldiers, and the demolition of the post office. Widespread unemployment, safety-net programs gutted or dysfunctional.
And that’s this week.

Layer upon layer of malfeasance and stupidity, of criminal leadership.
We no longer have a government that does bad things. We have no federal government period.
We the people can fix this in November, or at least turn it around.

It’s not about programs or policies or politics. It’s not about your favorite political personality.
It’s about deciding to rebuild a functioning federal government. That can only be done if Democrats take control of Congress & White House.
Even the #LincolnProject knows it.
